Volume 2

I have given final approval for the text of The B-I-B-L-E Volume 2. It is being printed now and should be ready soon. I am so excited about this process and I can't wait until we have volume 2 come out. You can read more about Volume 2 on the right hand side of this blog, down a little way. I'll keep you all informed.

We just received our book yesterday. It is awesome. I have never seen a Bible like this before. It was written with the intention of being able to be read by an early reader. I am so looking forward to seeing all of my children reading from this Bible. I hope the author is working on more volumes because I will buy every one!

I like the idea to paraphrase the Bible for children. We were looking for such a book for a little first grader whom we got to know while walking around the neighborhood. She is a smart little first grader who loves to read! She is being raised by her father because her mother walked out on them. She spends a lot of time with her grandmother. We got a copy of “The B-I-B-L-E” and the little girl loved it. She read it from cover to cover!

We are thoroughly enjoying the B-I-B-L-E. Our first grader can read it effortlessly. This is such a wonderful resource for all four of our young children...even our three year old can understand the simple vocabulary. We've enjoyed many Bible story books, but this is very unique to have every verse from the book of Psalms and I John translated into words and phrases that our children can relate to their lives. We first read several Psalms that we have memorized as a family, and our seven year old said, "This is a LOT easier to understand!" Our five year old agreed. I am so grateful to be able to talk about the truths of God's word as a family without having to spend so much time translating it. We are planning on buying several more to give away as gifts and can't wait for the next editions. What a gift to this generation of children to be raised with a Bible they can understand!

I bought 2 copies of "The B-I-B-L-E" for 2 young girls in our lives. After looking through them myself, I am anticipating memorable moments "tucking them in" as my husband and I read Biblical truths to them in language they can understand. What a great tool to use in "planting God's Word" in their hearts.
