"Help me understand what your Word means."

"Help me understand what your Word means. Then I will know wonderful things. The earth is not my home. I will be here for just a little time. I need your Word. It tells me how to do what is right. I think all the time about your Word. I want to know your Word. I want to obey it"

You can be part of God's family

"Always tell God 'thank you.' Just think! You are part of God’s family. He will always take care of you. You can live with him in heaven forever. Remember to stay close to God. Obey his Word. Do what is right. We used to be part of the Devil’s family. He likes bad things. He wants us to do bad things. Then we were far away from God. But God got us out of the Devil’s family. Jesus died for our sins. We are trusting in Jesus. Jesus took our sins away. Now we are part of God’s family" (Colossians 1:12-13, The B-I-B-L-E).

God, you make me strong

"God, you are strong. You make me strong too. With you, I can win. With you, I can do hard things.

What is God like? Well, everything he does is right. He makes promises. They always come true. Do you trust in God? Then he will take care of you" (Psalm 18:29-30, The B-I-B-L-E).

A peaceful heart

"You make me really happy. Some people have lots of nice things. But I am happier than they are. I can go to sleep with peace in my heart. God, I know that you will take care of me" (Psalm 4:7-8, The B-I-B-L-E).

A motivated team

Nehemiah challenged the people to take on a big and important job. And they were all ready to go for it!

"But then I was ready to talk to them. I said, 'You know about Jerusalem. You know it is a mess. You know the walls are all broken down. You know the gates are burned. Come on! Let’s build the walls! Then the other people cannot say that we are no good!' I told them how God was helping me. I told them what I said to the king. I told them how kind the king was. They said right away, 'Yes! Let’s go for it! Let’s build the wall!' So they started to do that important work" (Nehemiah 2:17-18, The B-I-B-L-E).

God, you are right by me

"Sometimes I am in trouble. Sometimes it feels like I am in a dark place. It feels like I am going to die. But you are right by me. So I am not scared. You are like a shepherd for me. You take care of me and help me" (Psalm 23:4, The B-I-B-L-E).

God does amazing things

Our hearts should always be full of praise for God.

"Sing to God. Sing a new song for him. He does amazing things. He is super strong. He is awesome. He always does what is right. God does amazing things. Everyone can see the amazing things he does. Everyone can see that he is good"

(Psalm 98:1-2, The B-I-B-L-E).
