Jan Harthan: Waxhaw, North Carolina, United States; Jan Harthan and her husband, Dave, have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1971. They worked for 19 years in Brazil and 10 years in Mozambique. She is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Jan holds a B.A. from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota, in Elementary Education. She is a professional copy editor. She has done editing for many years for Wycliffe Bible Translators. She has done freelance copy editing for Tyndale House Publishers, Scripture Press, Livingstone Corporation, and J. David Schmidt Company. Jan was one of the copy editors of the New Living Translation. She is utilizing her gifts to produce a paraphrase of God’s Word that will grow and nurture children after God’s own heart.
