"I used to think that I had to obey all of the rules. I used to think that was the way to be right with God. But I could never obey all of the rules. I could never be right with God that way. God was not happy with me. My old self tried to obey the rules. My old self said that was the way to be right with God. I tried very hard. But I did not make God happy. God showed me that way does not work. So I asked Jesus to forgive my sins. I am trusting in Jesus. He made the way for me to be right with God. My old self died. It is not the ruler of my life anymore. Jesus gave me a new life. Jesus is the ruler of my new life"(Galatians 2:19, The B-I-B-L-E).
